NASHVILLE — The Nashville Hornets earned a spot in the 2A state semifinals with a 41-19 win over Pana in a quarterfinal matchup of 10-1 teams.
After falling behind 13-7 in the opening quarter, the Hornets scored the next two touchdowns to lead 21-13 at the half.
That lead was still 21-19 heading into the fourth, but Nashville put it away with three unanswered scores, including two touchdowns from Julian Metcalf. The senior ran for four TDs on the day.
The Hornets will travel to Decatur St. Teresa next Saturday at 1:00 with a date in the 2A State Championship game on the line.
