ANNA — Anna-Jonesboro won the battle of Lady Wildcats Thursday, downing Marion 48-24.
A-J jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back, building a 21-6 lead after one quarter.
It was 35-17 at the half, as A-J pulled away for the 24-point win.
Before the game, Marion’s players came bearing gifts, in support of A-J sophomore Marlee Smith. Smith has cancer and is conducting a toy drive for kids on the Cancer Floor at Cardinal Glennon Hospital. For more on that story, click here.
