ELDORADO — The host Eagles advanced to the quarterfinals of the 55th Eldorado Holiday Tournament with a 55-43 win over Hardin County.
Eldorado led 19-13 at the half, but promptly pushed that lead to double digits in the third with an 8-1 run. The Eagles led 39-28 after three.
Hardin County closed to within eight early in the fourth, but the Eagles got big buckets from Aiden Whitlock and Lydayyea Shewmaker to keep the Cougars from getting any closer.
The Eagles will now face Carmi-White County in the final quarterfinal Friday night. The Cougars will take on Vienna in the consolation bracket.
