After the IHSA canceled the State Cross Country Championships due to the pandemic, ShaZam Racing and MileSplit Illinois teamed up to host a by invitation only, three-day cross country championship with Division I running Friday, Division II Saturday, and Division III Sunday. The divisions corresponded with the IHSA classes 1A, 2A, and 3A. The event was held at Three Sisters Park, just ten minutes from the longtime site of the IHSA championships, Detweiller Park.
