CARBONDALE — Carbondale senior Darius Ragland had a breakout season at quarterback last year, helping lead the Terriers to a share of the South 7 title and a playoff appearance.
Ragland made his college choice official Monday, signing with Lindenwood University, where he will play on the other side of the ball at defensive back.
That’s not necessarily a new position for Ragland, who played DB for Team USA in a select event in Texas last January.
“Today is means a lot to me, because it’s me just writing what’s next in my life,” Ragland said. “Not too many people get this opportunity, and thankfully I got this opportunity. It’s definitely a sense of relief because I have somewhere to go. The pressure is kinda off for this season. I get to have fun.”
Ragland and the Terriers will begin official practices March 3rd.
