HARRISBURG — Harrisburg senior Noah Boon did a little bit of everything Friday to help the Bulldogs remain unbeaten by blanking Benton 7-0.
On the mound, Boon tossed six shutout innings, striking out seven along the way. At the plate, he was 2-3 with a pair of home runs and drove in five. Boon hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning for the first runs in the game. He added a two-run shot an inning later to cap the scoring.
Javie Beal added three hits and a solo homer for the Bulldogs, who improve to 12-0, 2-0 in the SIRR Ohio. Luke Miller also had an RBI base hit in Harrisburg’s four run fourth before Beal and Boon blasted bombs in the fifth.
Benton falls to 5-6 (0-1).
