PINCKNEYVILLE — One of the area’s top basketball players has made his college choice official.
Pinckneyville’s Dre Scott has signed with Kaskaskia College.

Scott averaged just shy of 17 points and six and a half rebounds a game to help lead the Panthers to a 12-3 record in the recently completed shortened hoops season. He was named to the IBCA 2A All-State Team as well as honorable mention AP 2A All-State.

“I’m ready for the opportunity,” Scott said. “They have a great campus, and I know the kids that go there. They have a hard-working coach and ready to get me better.”

Scott is wrapping up his high school athletic career competing for the Panthers’ track and field team.
