VERGENNES — Elverado head softball coach Jacob Emling said he was anxious to see how his club would bounce back after suffering its first loss of the season, 9-0 at Mt. Vernon Friday.
The Falcons did just fine.
Emling’s club jumped on Hamilton County, a quality 2A team, early and often enroute to a 14-4, five inning win Saturday.
Mississippi State commit Morgan Bernadini led the Falcons’ attack, going 3-3 with two homeruns, four runs batted in, and four runs scored.
With the win, Elverado improves to 13-1 on the season. Hamilton County falls to 9-4.
