SESSER — The Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Red Devils made it a happy Homecoming for their fans with a 46-6 win over Eldorado, a win that keeps the Red Devils right in the thick of the Black Diamond Conference race.
Red Devils’ junior Brock Chelf scored on a 49-yard touchdown run on the third play from scrimmage to open to scoring less than 4 minutes in. Chelf added two more scores before half, helping the Red Devils build a 32-0 halftime lead.
Chelf finished with 132 yards on 10 carries along with his three TDs. Colt Packer added 117 yards on 9 carries and a score. The Eagles were led by Dylan Henshaw’s 98 yards on 16 carries.
Eldorado falls to 1-5 and will host Carmi-White County next Friday for Homecoming. SVW improves to 5-1 and will play for a share of first place Friday at Johnston City.
