Congratulations to this week’s WMIX Sports/Josh Finley, Country Financial Ram of the Week! Rams Cross Country finished second in the South Seven Conference Meet at Southern Illinois University’s Course in Carbondale. Mt. Vernon finished behind only Marion on Weds., Oct. 13. Sophomore Trey Mygatt’s 3rd place finish led the way for the Rams with a time of 16:42.53. The young Runnin’ Rams also had Top 10 finishes from Sophomores Chalin Bathon (6th) and Caedmon Cook (8th). Freshman Evan Taylor took 11th and Sophomore Branden Etheridge took 20th.
