ELKVILLE — A pair of upsets according to seeds has Steeleville and Zeigler-Royalton playing for the championship of the Elverado 1A Volleyball Regional.

The Warriors, who were seeded 6th in the sub-sectional, knocked off the regional’s top seed and host Elverado 25-19, 25-18 in the first semifinal. The Tornadoes, who were seeded 5th in the sub-sectional, knocked off the regional’s next highest seed, Cobden 25-21, 25-21.

Steeleville and Z-R will meet at 6:00 Thursday for the regional title.
