Jase Burkett, Woodlawn: The sophomore averaged 15 points per game in three games and was named Midland Trail Conference Tournament MVP after helping lead the Lady Cardinals to the championship.
Nate Dampier, Marion: The senior went 5-0 with 5 pinfalls to win the 152 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament. Dampier needed a total of 6:34 to win his 5 matches.
Kanye Gunn, Marion: The junior went 5-0 with 5 pinfalls to win the 285 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament. Gunn needed a total of 9:59 to win his 5 matches.
Arojae Hart, Murphysboro: The senior was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament after going 5-0 to win the 138 pound weight class. Hart posted 3 pinfalls as well a major decision (13-3) and technical fall (23-8).
Tony Keane, Harrisburg: The sophomore went 5-0 with 4 pinfalls and did not allow a point to win the 113 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament.
Caleb Mays, Anna-Jonesboro: The junior went 5-0 with 4 pinfalls and did not allow a point to win the 145 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament.
Taryn Russell, Carbondale: The sophomore had two top 5 finishes, finishing 5th at the South 7 Bowling tournament at then 3rd at the Carterville Invitational. Russell posted the 3rd best single game (244) as well as best 3-game series (655).
Jared Shafer, Mt. Vernon: The senior went 5-0 with 5 pinfalls to win the 182 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament. Shafer needed a total of 4:57 to win his 5 matches.
Mason Tieffel, Benton: The wrestled up a weight class and went 5-0 with 3 pinfalls as well as a technical fall (19-4) to win the 132 pound weight class at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament.
