HERRIN — One of the area’s top volleyball players has made her college choice official, and she won’t be going far. Herrin’s Presli Karnes has signed to play at John A. Logan.

Karnes is an outside hitter, but is a versatile, two-way player that holds the school record for serve reception percentage, and led the team in digs this past season.

Karnes, who also plays basketball, softball, and tennis, said the opportunity to play volleyball at the next level, and do so close home, was too good to pass up.
