PINCKNEYVILLE — The Centralia Orphans just keep winning. Win number 22 of the season came Saturday night at the Panther Shootout in Pinckneyville as the Orphans got by the Mascoutah Indians 66-61.

These teams’ paths could cross in the postseason, as both are in the same sub-sectional of the Highland 3A Sectional.

Centralia was led in scoring for the fifth straight game by senior Davin Tabor, who finished with 21 points. Koby Wilmoth hit four three-pointers and finished with 20. Jeremy Dalton, who seems to make big shots when the Orphans need them the most, chipped in 11, with seven of those in the fourth quarter.

Darionn Singleton led the Indians with 17 pts.

The Orphans, now 22-2, will play at Mater Dei Tuesday night. Mascoutah is now 18-5 on the season.
