Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week nominees

Voting is now open and will run through noon Friday for this week’s Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week. The poll is on the upper right-hand side of the page.

Here are your nominees:

Amayah Doyle, Carterville: The sophomore scored 25 points to lead the Lady Lions in the Vandalia 2A Supersectional against Pana.

Jacoby Gross, Steeleville: The junior scored 23 points in two games to help lead the Warriors to the Okawville 1A Sectional championship, the first boys basketball sectional title in school history.

Saxton Hoepker, Nashville: The senior scored 37 points in two games to help lead the Hornets to the Carterville 2A Sectional championship, including 23 in the title game against Breese Central.

Alayna Kraus, Okawville: The sophomore scored 22 points to lead the Lady Rockets in the Brown County 1A Supersectional against Brimfield.

Karli Mann, Herrin: The sophomore won the triple jump (34-11) and finished fourth in the long jump (16-1) at the SIU High School Invitational indoor track and field meet. Mann’s triple jump set a new school record.

Bailey Williams, Marion: The junior won the long jump (17-5) at the SIU High School Invitational indoor track and field meet. Williams broke her own school record that she had set the week before.
