Centralia and Marion claim titles at Fast Start Invitational

MARION — Led by a sweep of the top three and five finishing in the top 13, the Marion Wildcats cruised to the boys title at their own Fast Start Invitational.

Junior Dylon Nalley led the entire race, setting a course record with a 15:11, to win by 1:41. Teammates Mekye Lomax and Sean Hudspath finished second and third with Tai Doan (9th) and Evan Dailey (13th) finishing out the scoring places.

Murphysboro sophomore Miah Gilmore dominated the girls’ race, winning by 1:56 with a time of 20:05. Centralia placed 5 in the top 14 to take home the team title.
