Early in the third, Carbondale junior Mortez Graham scored on a 59-yard run to cut Centralia’s lead to 20-14. The Orphans then put together a long drive capped by Marzeal Marshall’s 1-yard TD run to make it 27-14.
Carbondale made things interesting late with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Brock Bowlby to Dee Cawthron to close within 27-21, but that’s how it would end.
