It’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Congratulations to Mt. Vernon Rams Basketball! The Rams are this week’s WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial Rams of the Week! The Rams won the Stove Top Stuffing Classic at Triad in dominant fashion going 3-0. Mt. Vernon opened up the tourney on Thanksgiving Eve with a 54-42 win over Granite City and came back Saturday demolishing Springfield 71-35 and beating host Triad 48-36. Sophomore Cale Maurer and Senior Navonatae “Boo Ray” Nesbit, Jr., made the all-tournament team. Way to go, Rams!
