ELKVILLE — The New Athens Yellow Jackets beat the host Falcons 47-30 in the final game of the Domino’s Shootout at Elverado High School Saturday.
Samuel Alstat scored the first points of the game for Elverado, but the Yellow Jackets scored the final eight points of the quarter, including Dylan Boone’s buzzer-beating three-pointer.
Boone buried three first half treys, but New Athens led only 19-14 at the break. The Yellow Jackets outscored the Falcons 28-16 in the second half for the 17-point margin of victory.
