SESSER — Fresh off their win over Goreville Saturday, the Woodlawn Cardinals used a strong second half to win at Sesser-Valier 57-38.
The Cardinals led 23-22 at the half but used a 14-0 run in the third quarter to seize control and never looked back.
Blake McKay scored 29 points to lead all scorers. Race Rynski added 21. Garrett Gunter’s 11 led Sesser-Valier.
The Cardinals will return to Midland Trail Conference play Friday when they will host Cisne. The Red Devils return to action Saturday against Anna-Jonesboro at the Rich Herrin Classic in Benton.
