BENTON — It’s been a pretty good couple of weeks for Benton senior Logan Williams.

After finding out late last month there would in fact be a season this year, Williams made his college choice official, signing with Greenville. The past couple of weeks have been quite a relief for Rangers’ lineman.

“I’m really excited I finally got to pick and put this all behind,” Williams said. “Now I get to focus on my senior season. I’m really thankful we get to have one.”

“When we started this process with Logan, we didn’t know if he was gonna get a senior season,” said Benton head football coach Justin Groves. “The approach was here’s the last opportunity we had to see him play, and here’s what he looked like then, and based on that film alone, several schools had interest in Logan.”

Williams and the Rangers will open practice for the new spring season March 3rd. The first game will be at home March 20th against rival West Frankfort.
