Dollins scored a game high 28 points, including a second quarter basket off an offensive rebound to reach 1000 points for his career. The game was stopped to recognize the milestone, with Goreville head coach Todd Tripp presenting Dollins the game ball.
Dollins’ heavy lifting wasn’t enough to overcome a balanced Goreville attack. Six Blackcats scored eight or more points, led by seniors Kanon Webb (17) and Rhet Schuetz (16). Briley Dunn (10) also reached double figures.
Both teams have rivalry games up next on the schedule Tuesday night. The Blackcats will host Vienna, while the Tornadoes will welcome Christopher
