HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg Bulldogs rallied from an early 14-point deficit to hand Herrin its first loss of the season, 35-22 in a game played Saturday after being postponed Friday night due to the weather.
Bryant Lester ran for a 116 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs’ attack.
Harrisburg trailed 14-0 then scored twice to tie the game at 14. Herrin answered with Cameron Evrard’s seven yard touchdown and tacked on the two-point conversion for a 22-14 lead. The Bulldogs got a Lester TD late in the half to cut it to 22-20 then outscored Herrin 15-0 in the second half for the win.
Harrisburg played the game in their special pink out jerseys to help raise money for families battling cancer.
