MARION — Two people were arrested after a postgame incident near the Carbondale Terriers’ locker room Friday night.
Moments after Marion had defeated Carbondale 54-29 to wrap up an unbeaten football season, and while Wildcats’ players and fans were celebrating on the field, Marion police officers and Williamson County deputies were called in for a disturbance outside the entrance to the Carbondale locker room.
Witnesses say those arrested both struck Terriers head coach Bryan Lee. Lee was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He was treated and released.
Further information about the arrests are not available at this time.
