Alex Partlow, Carbondale: The senior won the 2A State Cross Country Championship by nearly 25 seconds with a time of 14:11.96 at Detweiller Park in Peoria. Partlow’s time is a new 2A meet record and is the 25th fastest time run ever run at Detweiller, regardless of class.
