GALATIA — Friday was a big day for Galatia senior Klayton Wright.

Wright signed his letter of intent to play baseball for Lincoln College, an NAIA school located between Springfield and Bloomington. Wright is just the second Bearcat in school history to sign with a 4-year school.

Wright says he’s about command rather than velocity when it comes to his pitching approach. Last spring, he struck out 76 batters in only 37 innings.

He says he jumped at the opportunity to play for new head coach Greg May and the Lynx.
