METROPOLIS — The host Lady Patriots cruised past Vienna 59-31 to finish 3-0 for the week to win the City of Metropolis Girls Tournament title. The Lady Eagles finished 2-1 in the tournament.

Massac County jumped out to a 13-0 lead over the Lady Eagles and never looked back. The Lady Patriots led 17-6 after one quarter and extended that lead to 36-16 by halftime.

Tournament MVP Sophie Bormann led the way for Massac County with a game high 22 points. Elise Coakley added 12 and Brooklyn Burnett 10. Suhmer Daubert led Vienna with 11.

Madyson Swope’s 16 points led Carbondale to a 45-37 win over Meridian in the third place game.
