Congratulations to our latest WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial Rams of the Week, Mt. Vernon Rams Wrestling! The Rams are HOT and dominated West Frankfort 51-24 at home on Dec. 8 to earn our ROTW honors. Since then, the Rams have been on an absolute tear to improve their record 10-2!

Earlier this week at Chatham (Glenwood) the Rams owned Peoria Manuel 70-0 and beat Springfield Southeast 48-30, Champaign Central 52-23, and Chatham Glenwood’s JV 53-23. Win #10 came in a 66-12 win over Herrin! Your next chance to see the Alejandro Wajner’s varsity Rams in action after this weekend’s Mascoutah Tournament is at the Murdale Tournament in Carbondale on Jan. 6-7 and home against Carlyle on Jan. 11.
