Cahokia — It was a tough night for the Centralia Orphans Friday night at Cahokia. Coming off a big win over Marion last week, the Orphans ran into a big and fast Comanches team losing 34-8 on homecoming night at Cahokia. Comanches QB Zion Taylor had a good night throwing the football as he was 10/18 for 209 yards and 2 td’s. Peter Braxton scored two times as Cahokia racked up over 360 yards of offense while holding Centralia to 195 total yards.

The Orphans lone score would come on a 1-yard run from QB Daryle Jones who carried the ball twenty times for 63 yards. Xavier Koch led Orphans receivers with 4 catches for 57 yards.

Centralia, now 2-5 (1-2) on the season will host Mt.Vernon next Friday night.
