Congratulations to this week’s Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week from WMIX Sports! Lady Rams Basketball’s Melaina “Mae Mae” Zedalis averaged a double double in big home conference wins over Centralia and Marion on Dec. 10 and 12, respectively. Zedalis dropped 17 points and had 17 rebounds and 6 steals in a 43-40 win over Centralia and then had 35 points and 11 rebounds in a 75-64 win over Marion! The wins catapulted the Lady Rams to the front of the South Seven. This week the lady Rams added two more wins against Carbondale and Cahokia and are now 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the South Seven! What a great week for the team and senior guard Melaina Zedalis! Congratulations, Mae Mae!
